26th December 2009 Skiing: La Rosiere Wind Direction: Wind Stength: 30 mph + Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Our last day :( and the weather has improved but not much !!! At least the cloud was high with a glimpses of sun but it was windy again with the fresh snow being blown off the slopes !!! So after getting our stuff out of the apartment by 10.30 we decided to take a chance and get a day pass. In the morning we stayed on and around the Eucherts/La Rosiere slopes Rob and I tied the off-piste in the trees by the Eucherts Express while Mag tried the tree run into La Ros and Dan ventured up the main La Ros lift but the strong winds were making things uncomfortable so we decided to go to the restaurant just above Euchert to warm up !!! We had a good meal with some mega cakes :) with the wind still bad we spent most of the afternoon on the lower Mar Cassin black !!! and still found lots of fresh snow to make tracks although it was patchy !!! I skied with Mag and we had several off-piste runs through the trees and big snow fields !!! Rob and Dan did the same. Mag and I had had enough by about 4 as the light was fading so we went for coffee and cake and waited for the boys to finish. So even though this was the worst weeks skiing weather we have ever had we had lots of laughs and we do love Eucherts !!! After the nightmare journey down we actually had a good trip back apart from a slamming door at the formula 1 and apparently my snoring !!!!!!!!! |
